'For he received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.' 2 Peter 1:17
The Lord speaks of his son's approval, his love for obeying His word, for carrying out what the Lord expected. This inspires me to acknowledge my sons, when they achieve greatness in serving the Lord.
'Catch them soing something good'. An old adage that can apply in the workplace at home, wherever. God is glorified through praise and inspiration for the Lord serves His mission. When people are recognized, there is humbleness, gratitude and a deeper appreciation for the Lord.
Father God, thank you for the gift of acknowledgement. Let it be used for the right reasons, to praise you! You are a God that is always understanding, accountable, loving and faithful. Thank you Lord for your continuous love.
