'Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with the hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.'
1 Thessalonians 4:11,12

Pauls' encouraging words to the Thessalonians of living the Christian lifestyle is relevant even in the modern day. As I read this passage, it reminds me of how easy it is to move away from God, with all of the temptations surrounding our daily lives.

Despite this, as a Christian, day by day, it is important to live a daily life of humility & respect of God. Instead of using words, my actions and lifestyle will lead others to God and will also please God.

Lord father, give me the wisdom and authority to live the life I've chosen. Give me the humility to remain with you daily. Father, you are a gracious and powerful creator, maker of heaven and earth. I worship your holy name. Thank you Father for accepting my imperfections, help me to be more like you everyday.

Thank you Jesus!
